The World Health Organization issued a media advisory covering SIF Sabin’s second parliament briefing in the Democratic Republic of Congo on June 16, 2010, in Kinshasa. Attending this WHO and UNICEF co-sponsored event, was the Honorable Evariste Boshab, President of the National Assembly of the DRC. Speaking before DRC representatives as well as provincial ministers responsible for public health, he stated that his attendance of this meeting signaled a firm, national commitment to securing resources through budget allocation for public health programs. The Hon. Boshab assured his country’s commitment in trying to meet the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs)
